"Tug Valley Bass Anglers Dewey Lake Tournament Presented by VIP Fuels" On April 25th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its third tournament of the 2021 season on Dewey Lake. Dewey Lake was full pool when the boats were launched that morning and the water was stained on the entire lake with a temperature in the upper 50's. Weather for the tournament was good, with mid 60 degree air temperatures and partly cloudy skies. The fishing for this tournament was slow, most of the fish were still pre spawn. The bass were on the shallower banks around their spawning areas and were relating to any available cover. The top finishers are as follows. 1st -- Lynn Fields --- (5 fish) 9.96 lbs. 2nd -- James Marcum --- (3 fish) 6.70 lbs. 3rd-- MO --- (2 fish) 4.84 lbs. 4th -- Mike Patrick --- (1 fish) 4.19 lbs. 5th -- Brandon Staten --- (2 fish) 3.76 lbs. 6th-- Wayne Charles --- (1 fish) 3.08 lbs. 7th--Mike Cullop --- (1 fish) 2.26 lbs. 8th --William Marcum --- (1 fish) 2.16 lbs. 9th --Kevin Marcum --- (1 fish) 1.91 lbs. 10th --Steve Cullop --- (1 fish) 1.89 lbs. |
